We always feel like we have to get so much done during the week and weekends, but it’s ok to kick back and relax. Turn on Netflix, watch some movies, read a book, do a little bit of nothing.
Make the most of your weekend, and start your chores early, today in fact. After work, try to get one of the bigger tasks you had planned for Saturday or Sunday out of the way.
Surprise the kids, or your spouse, and plan a family event for the weekend. It’ll give everyone something to look forward to.
Sometimes we put off having fun in favor of getting chores done, so in honor of Sunday Funday, go do something fun. Whether it’s going to a game or it’s heading to the beach for the day or a theme park, whatever you want to do. Go enjoy yourself!
Even if it’s just for one night in a couple of months, plan a beach weekend. Plan on driving down, packing a cooler full of food and drinks, a swimsuit, and find a cute, affordable place to stay. This little vacation will do wonders.
Drop off food at a shelter to help someone in need over the weekend. You never know what good things can come from a small act of kindness.
Take the day, and go see a new city. You don’t have to go far, just go to a city near you that you haven’t been to before, and see what they have to offer. You never know what magic you may stumble into.
I know it’s tempting to wait until the last minute to fill that suitcase, but if you’re traveling to visit family or just taking advantage of your extra long weekend, pack your bags early. That gives you more time for forgetting something, and remembering before you’re already gone.
Make sure to take some time for yourself. Whether it’s sitting down for 10 minutes of peace and quiet without your cell phone or enjoying a new face mask and bubble bath, make time for some me time.
Get things done on Saturday morning! If you get up and knock those tasks off your to-do list, you won’t have to worry about them the next day. So get up, get moving, and then enjoy the rest of your Saturday.
