I know, I know, it’s Monday, ewwww. But you may find that your attitude towards Mondays shift if you start your day with a grateful spirit. First of all, you’re still alive, and second of all, if you are lucky enough to be heading into work on this day, it means you have a job. There are some who would desperately change places with you, so even if your coworkers are driving you crazy, even if you feel stuck at your job, even if you can’t stand it, try to focus on what you do have. You have an income, you have a schedule in your life, you have something you can count on doing each day, waking up and going into work. It’s important to focus on the positives, even if you aren’t in love with your job 🙂
If you’re planning a trip or trips around the holidays, get your vacation time in early. That way, you’re sure to get the days off that you need.
If you have a whiteboard with all upcoming appointments, you can always keep up with everyone’s schedule.
Make the most of your sick time by scheduling appointments together. You’ll find that you can easily knock out several things with only one afternoon off work, which is a win-win for you and your boss.
If you struggle with unwinding for the day, create an evening schedule. You’ll find it easier to relax each night if you create a schedule. It can be a skin care routine, drinking a cup of tea, reading a book, and then going to bed, or whatever works best for you. Just try to limit time with a blue screen 🙂
