In today’s world, it can often seem like we are constantly on the go and only thinking about ourselves. I think it’s more important now than ever to give back to others, in any way that you can. So before y’all start about how you need to save every penny, let me clarify that it’s…
Put together a giving bag, which has basic items that a homeless person may need. Now, next time you see someone who needs a little help, you can easily hand this out.
This can applied to those who were furloughed, an elderly neighbor, a young single mother, it doesn’t matter, just help a neighbor out. Whether it’s mowing their yard for them or dropping by a basket of muffins, help one of your neighbors.
There are so many ways to help others, and you can do it with your money or time 🙂 and yes, that’s a cell phone, someone missed the “we are recording” light 😉
In this cold weather, you can do so much for others, even something as simple as taking extra blankets you have around the house to a shelter. There are so many in need who this will help to keep warm.
Whether you’ve changed up your color scheme or just aren’t using certain ornaments or decorations anymore, donate them. If they’re in good shape, give to those less fortunate, and help them have the decorations for Christmas.
Find a local charity and donate some of those unopened gifts you bought for a gift exchange or you got and never opened. It’s a more thoughtful way of re-gifting, this way giving it to someone who could really use it.
Giving to others is such an important part of this season, make time to set an example and give back to those less fortunate.
Tis the season for giving! Whether you are getting a Starbucks for the morning or you just want to help your neighbor out with a small task, start a pay it forward movement, and let that Christmas cheer spread.
